Last week, thousands of irrigation enthusiasts gathered in Orlando, Florida for The Irrigation Association Show. This annual convention dives deep into
the world of irrigation technology, education, and networking. We were there to learn, teach and to promote the show on twitter. Several others were
on hand to use Twitter the best way possible, promoting others and reinforcing positive habits. Here are some of our favorite tweets from the show:
For the 7th year in a row, there was a live tweetup at the show. We had 325 tweets during the one-hour live tweetup. Some of the most influential participants
included – Lawn and Landscape Magazine, Incoming IA President Warren Gorowitz, Kris Nightengale, Jain Irrigation and My Backyard Idea reached well
over 100,000 people during the hour.
Kris Nightengale, Chair of the Irrigation Association’s Public Affairs Committee, represented the Irrigation Association with excellent informational tweets like this one.
Manufacturers job is to innovate new solutions to existing and emerging challenges. If we keep focus the tide rises for all ships #landscapechat #irrigationshow

Incoming President Warren Gorowitz also took time to participate with excellent tweets like these.
One of my passions, focusing on the benefits of efficient irrigation for agriculture and landscapes. #landscapechat

We need to continue to provide relevant education and certification programs that help those in the field. #landscapechat

We were reminded by Michael Derewneko interest in weather based controllers is growing.
For the homeowner, GreenIQ is an easy to use weather based residential irrigation controller. Good UI and easy to install. #landscapechat #irrigationshow

The message of AgTech continued during the General Session.
Hearing from the new president of the irrigation association. We are now able to control landscape 24/7 using our phones. Technology and irrigation

Andy Belingheri and Michael Derewenko remind us one of the best benefits of the show is the people we see and meet.
Good show, good times and great people! @waterguru2 @MDSavesWater #IrrigationShow pic.twitter.com/RQpCVo8uZb

Past President Greg Hunter felt good about passing the President’s position to Warren Gorowitz. Greg knows his good work will be a nice launch point for Warren.
Congratulations to @waterguru2 on being named the next @IrrigationAssoc President! #irrigationshow pic.twitter.com/Y77U7mbe9A

It was no surprise the team from the University of Florida – also know as the Urban Conservation Unit – stole the show this year for the most entertaining tweets. Do your self a favor and watch the commercial in the first tweet.
